HELP!!! I cant choose between Kyukoshin Karate & Wing Chun (10POINTS) PLS HELP?

i cant choose between these 2 style.both of the the schools instructors are equally good,i am looking for smth which is street effective, the thing tt attracts me to this to arts is the kyukoshin has full body sparring, wing chun too spars but with pads & the chain punch is awesome.

which 1 do u reccomend

I am going to agree with Wing Chun. I studied it for years, and the history of its origin will help you understand why it IS rather effective for the astute student.

The idea is it is a system of concepts, not laden with technique like older more stylized systems are. While it is "Kung Fu", it is one developed to train a person in combat, and doing it quickly.

The older systems were generally held to take 15 years to make a student combat proficient. With the impending attack on the Shaolin Temple in Hunan, the Five Elders began to whittle down all the extraneous movements and create a style that they could teach to a man/woman and have them begin increasing combat effectiveness almost immediately.

It's not quite accurate to say it was created for women, but it is accurate to say they had women in mind when creating Wing Chun. The idea is that ANYBODY would be able to gain proficiency, not just men, and not just anybody who had a lot of time.

Ng Mui was a female amongst those Five Elders, and did actually wind up being the one to finish the creation of Wing Chun. Legend has it she watched two animals fight (a monkey and a crane?), and finalized the details. She taught it to one woman who was betrothed to a man she hated. He supposedly had the finest martial arts teachers money could buy.

He finally agreed to let the young woman go if she could best him in a one-on-one fight. Ng Mui taught her Wing Chun and the woman earned her freedom. After that, the young woman was renamed "Yim Wing Chun", which is how the name stuck. From there on, it was taught to a single student to a single student, and so forth.

It went this way until it Master Chan-Wah-Shun taught Yip Man, legendary teacher of Bruce Lee. Yip Man needed the money and taught more than one student. The list included venerable fighters such as Bruce Lee, William Cheung, Victor Kam, Tam Lai, and his son, Yip Chun.
