Need a good punching shield...?
Me and my cousin have recently tied in some boxing into our workout routine. Its fun and great exercise. Currently we can't for whatever reason find anywhere to mount a punching bag. So we reverted to using whats more less a kickbag. It held up well for a few weeks, but now it has become worn. Everytime we strike it with a good strong punch theres a good chance in will bow and we roll our writst pretty bad. Still good for kicks not for punches. Anyone out there have a link to a good martial arts website with a good hand held bag for serious punching. At this point in time a actual punching bag is not an option.

I like title because it's good, solid gear and holds up well (title and throwdown are the same thing so be confident with either brand).
If you want some really awesome kicking and punching shields, I like Fairtex a lot. It's more expensive, but it lasts a loooooong time, full leather construction, and good stitching. If you aren't sure what to get, I recommend getting Muay Thai pads - they cover the forearms of the "feeder" and are great for working knees, kicks, and punches because they are mobile and big. They aren't great for side kicks, because a good side kick delivers a LOT of power. But for roundhouse, front kicks, thigh kicks, knees, punches, combo drills, etc - the majority of strikes - they are my favorite.
I attached a link to a video below that gives you a good idea how to hold / kick these pads. The guys aren't great, but you'll get the idea.
