Are U.S. Infantry allowed to carry blades weapons?
I know there's probably a standard issue knife or switch blade, but I own a few fully functional swords and short blades/daggers that I wouldn't mind putting to use once I join the Army. I have a functional Katana and Tanto (10" blade version of the Katana). Any of those allowed?
US Army bayonets are no longer issued to infantry, no is a standard issue knife... the closest thing you will get is a Multi-tool. however that doesn't mean you cannot get away with carring your own knife when you are deployed. haha its funny you brought this up because i know a soldier that served in Iraq and while he did he actually brought a full samurai katana out on patrols with him. i can get pictures if you would like
