Dose anyone know if this can cause flasbacks in someone with ptsd??

I have a friend who has ptsd related to her childhood, all I really know is that her parents had fights (I'm assuming she witnessed when she was younger and she had been whipped with belts, hit in the face, head, hit with boards, called names and also witnessed her sister being hit etc etc.
She is 36 years old married 2 kids and things were going fine until about five months into martial arts classes (which I would think under the circumstances would help her in a sense.)
As it turns out she is no longer going to the classes because she said she is having issues with flashbacks and her panic attacks have returned.
What I am trying to figure out is if is possible that all the sparing stuff and what not during class was enough to trigger
flshbacks?

keep in mind pstd can be help with a good freind like u n a counselor to talk to privately hang in thier it got better for me though im not perfect yet i dont have very many flashback any more time is part of the answer give her that time support her
