Is a 100 percent cotton jacket good quality?
I have been wanting to buy a jacket from Aéropostale. It looks really nice. The only issue is that the fabric is 100 percent cotton. Most of the jackets I've ever owned have had some percentage of polyester in the fabric.
Should I not buy a jacket that doesn't contain polyester? And what are the pros and cons of a 100 percent cotton jacket?
A 100 percent Cotton jacket is good quality and bad quality depending on how you look at it.
Cotton is a very comfortable, soft material. And if it's from Aero, it's bound to be cute, as you said.
BUT the bad thing is that Cotton shrinks. If you get it in your size, it'll shrink down a size or two when you wash it. So if you do decide to buy it, which isn't a big deal, I would suggest getting it in a size or two bigger, so when you wash it that first time, it'll shrink down to your size.
Otherwise, if you don't want to do the size bigger thing, get it dry cleaned.
